Mrs Caroline M Bogard, daughter of Rev James and Lucinda Burleson,was born in IL 29 May 1920 and died 12 Aug 1886. She professed religionin the tweltha or thirteenth year of her age; Joined the Methodist Church and remained a faithful member until her death. Her father moved to St Frances County AR in 1838, where she was married to Cornelius Bogard 3 April 1839, and moved to Shelby county TX in December 1845. Her husband preceded her to the Spirit world. He died in 1861, leaving her with six sons and three daughters, all of whom she has trained up for the Lord.She leaves a large connection and many friends to mourn her death. Sister Bogard bore her sickness without a murmur. She was taken sick in April and suffered a great deal. The writer saw her a few days before her death. She was ready; had only one regret; leaving her children. Weep not loved ones, as those who have no hope; may the same grace that sustained her sustain you through life and in death.
